“Inspire Together”
Virtual Fundraiser

In 2020, my organization cancelled our annual fundraising gala due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. In it’s place I programmed a virtual event, “Inspire Together,” to celebrate the industry leaders who are committed to supporting diverse talent. With a very small budget, only a month and a half of lead time, and no experience producing a virtual event, I took on the role of event lead.

I am so proud of the work my team and I did developing an engaging run-of-show, working with top speaking talent, writing the script, creating promotional materials, working with the production team and for all the other work that goes into planning an event. Featured speakers included the Chief Marketing Officers at American Express, IBM and AB-InBev, and other industry leaders who inspire and champion diverse talent.

The event, held on December 10th, 2020, was an incredible success, with hundreds of engaged attendees and over $280k raised for our organization. Our CEO praised it as “one of the best events we have ever had.”
